I completed my BSc in Oceanography and Marine Biology at UCT in 2011 and am currently doing BSc(Hons) in Zoology.

My honours research project is on the population increase of the African Black Oystercatcher on Robben Island over the last 10 years, as well as the change in breeding behaviour. I will be looking at where the extra birds have fitted into the population and how the dynamics have changed. The other aspect of the project will involve analysing historical data to see what trends there are in clutch size, egg size, change in productivity and also the change in the number of breeding pairs over the last 10 years.
